Renée is an expert Sommelier accredited by the International Sommelier Guild, The Wine and Spirit Education Trust, and Fine Vintage. She has been a long-time contributor for wine education and notes on wine and food pairing to the CBC Radio-Canada program and wine writer for leading publications and online communities.
A talented gourmet and epicure, Renée originally chose to pursue Sommelier certification to enhance her food pairing skills and her appreciation for wine. Sommelier training didn’t just satisfy, however, it fueled her passion. The more she learned, the more she wanted to know!
Today Renée divides her time among many professional activities related to the wine industry, continually expanding her knowledge and honing her creative event skills.
Renee believes that, like wine, our taste evolves, and our talent for tasting develops with comprehension, training and practice. Learning about wines and spirits and tasting activities is fun and, yes, intensely self-indulgent!
Fluently bilingual, Renée hosts custom tastings in French or English, all the while entertaining with lively discussion and anecdotes.
